ABOUT MORPHING MEDIA

Morphing Media was created by Shannon Smith back in 1999 originally as a fan site for the television series American Gothic. Due to the show running for only one season, the site was considered an essential and popular link with the huge interest in the series by "Gothniks" - especially with how easy it was to navigate through the site.

The American Gothic site had been entirely created using Tripod's "Quickpage" format, making it very simple and quick to set up. There were only 2 different layouts using this method. The one above and the one to the left.

Shortly after the American Gothic site was completed, Shannon adventured into creating a site on the theatrical performer Rob Guest. This new site was created using the exact same layouts as the American Gothic site, but was soon to be recreated into a Macromedia Flash designed site.. As with the American Gothic site, the Rob Guest Access page was also praised.

Having maintained these two sites for 5 years with the same layout, it was time for a new look. So Shannon decided to get some professional training from the Multimedia Training Services. This course was a huge benefit as it introduced her to the Macromedia software, as well as Javascript, ASP coding and knowing how to edit the HTML of the web sites.

While attending the Multimedia Training Services, Shannon was approached by her supervisor at her full time job to create an intranet page for the department she worked for. This was perfect for her as she also used this as her student project that needed to be handed in at the end of the course. However, due to this particular site containing sensitive material, Shannon decided to re-create the Rob Guest Access Page in Flash format and submit this as her second student project that would be viewable to the public.

After completing her course at the Multimedia Training Services, Shannon decided to completely re-design her original American Gothic site. What was once a site that contained only HTML and a few basic graphics, now contained Flash, Javascript, animation and more. Once this was completed, Shannon officially created the business side of her Web Design group - Morphing Media.

With total commitment in creating the perfect site at an affordable price, any client can rely on the fact that what they are after will come to fruition with Morphing Media. And if Morphing Media can't do it, they will recommend someone who can.
